Sprinkler System and Irrigation Installation
Watering lawns may seem a simple concept, but did you know there are many factors involved in keeping a turf lawn green and lush? Soil density, timing, sunlight hours, soil nutrition, all have an crucial impact on lawn health. Most turf grasses will require about 3/4" - 1" of water per week to maintain green color and active growth, but they need less during some seasons and more during others. During spring, lawns will need more water to support the increased growth and then in the summer months, lawns should receive less water as their growth begins to winds down.
We offer Professional Sprinkler System and Irrigation Installation
The timing of lawn watering, based on the seasons and life of turf grasses in New Hampshire lawns is something Angerami Property Services has paid close attention to because healthy lawns naturally look good and survive better in harsh conditions.
Yet another factor in helping lawns stay healthy through harsh New Hampshire summer heat. Installing and maintaining irrigation that thoroughly water, so that moisture soaks down to the roots is important to deep root growth for established lawns. However, newly seeded lawns will require more regular light watering to keep the soil surface moist because newly installed lawns don't have deep roots yet.
Did You Know?
There are many factors to consider when watering lawns
The timing of watering is a major factor to carefully consider in order to keep lawns strong. If you water too late in the day, lots of the water is lost to evaporation. Watering lawns at night sometimes introduces diseases to the turf grass plants. The exception to this guide is when you are in extremely hot weather and nighttime temperatures don't go below 68 degrees. Then it is better to water in the late afternoon or early evening, providing you don't have watering-time restrictions. Early or late in the day reduces the amount of evaporation that takes place during the very hot day, allowing more water to reach the root zone.
Installing sprinklers in such a way as to provide even distribution and avoid spray overlap can also play a role in keeping your lawn well-watered, but not over-watered. Angerami Property Service uses a time-honored system of sprinkler head placement and patterns based on the shape of the lot, pitch, soil density and more. Our specialists carefully measure and monitor water application rates to avoid flooding areas, or missing other spots. With the heavy amounts of clay in some New Hampshire lawns for example, in design phase, we watch for excessive runoff and make adjustments to head placement and time interval for optimal irrigation.
Now more than ever, water conservation is a major concern for preserving this precious resource for future generations to enjoy. We understand the necessity and share in the cause to help conserve water by designing fully optimized irrigation systems that limit water wasted on the driveway or the street. We work out an automated water sprinkler timing that reduces water being wasted to evaporation or overwatering. The right amount of water at the right time also reduces polluion from runoff and reduces potential lawn pest and disease problems. Proper planning and operating watering systems reduces water bills and maintenance requirements as well.
